The fourth batch of the VW internal intrapreneurship program has started – methodologically and financially supported by the Innovation Fund II. The Incubator phase of the Wolfsburg-based automotive group underwent a complete redesign in cooperation with the Corporate Innovation Unit of German Entrepreneurship. Beginning October 24, the nine selected teams will develop their idea into a business plan for 12 weeks.
The program aims to provide the 40 participating employees with targeted know-how and a suitable business model to drive their idea and, thus, VW. Two days a week, intrapreneurs attend thematically clustered learning sessions and 1:1 coaching sessions, accompanied by mentors experienced in innovation. During the incubator, the teams gain a comprehensive understanding of the market and competition, learn how to validate their hypotheses and potentials properly, and convince key stakeholders of their idea.
At the final pitch at the end of January 2023, the results will be presented. After the incubator, the best teams have the opportunity to participate in the continuing VW Accelerator Program to work on their idea for another three months.
