Munich, September 24, 2023 – The winners of the 2023 AI Beyond Borders Awards (AIBBA) were recently announced at the annual Bits and Pretzels convention in Munich. The award recognizes the top 3 German startups who are pushing the international and innovative borders of AI technologies.
This year, the AIBBA winners were selected by an international jury of AI experts from a pool of over 60 German startup contestants. The winners were then recognized at Bits and Pretzels on the Startup Nation Stage, the latter of which was hosted by German Accelerator and EXIST – Existenzgründungen aus der Wissenschaft.
Frau Dr. Sabine Hepperle, head of the “SME policy” department for the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) made a special appearance at the Startup Nation Stage to announce the winners. She was joined by the AI Competence Center’s Director Europe, Dr. Sabine Wiesmüller, as well as Petra Vorsteher, co-founder of Transatlantic aiXchange, in presenting the awards.
The 2023 AIBBA award winners are:
1st place: PreciTaste
PreciTaste employs food AI systems for preparation, planning, and assistance in the foodservice industry. PreciTaste’s ready-to-deploy assistants ensure instant labor efficiency and streamline workloads by expediting everyday decisions through software automation.
2nd place: vialytics
vialytics developed an AI solution to monitor road conditions and defects, like cracks or potholes. vialytics is the intelligent road management system for traffic-safe communities, no matter whether roads or cycle paths, whether by car, bicycle or foot.
3rd place: ACCURE Battery Intelligence
ACCURE leverages cloud computing to improve battery performance, safety, and reliability. ACCURE turns battery data into business intelligence, enabling higher energy storage safety and performance.
