Official Kick-Off for Social-Startup-Hub Bavaria

On October 17th, the Social-Startup-Hub Bavaria was publicly presented for the first time. From now on, the project run by the Social Entrepreneurship Academy will serve as a central contact point for people and teams who want to start a social business. The kick-off event took place at the Bavarian Ministry of Social Affairs, which is funding the new initiative.

Social ventures employ entrepreneurial methods to address the ecological and social challenges of our time, ranging from inclusion and education to ecology and climate change. In order to support social startups in the successful realization of their visions, the Social Entrepreneurship Academy created the Social-Startup-Hub Bavaria in cooperation with the State Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Affairs. The hub connects startups with consulting and support offers from across Bavaria.

At the kick-off event of the new project, Social Minister Ulrike Scharf (Bavarian Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs), Fabian Eckert (RECUP), Raphael Brandmiller (Social Entrepreneurship Netzwerk Deutschland e.V.), Christina Ramgraber (sira Kinderbetreuung gGmbH) and Kristina Notz (Executive Director Social Entrepreneurship Akademie) had an insightful panel discussion on the relevance of social enterprises and the challenges they face.

Anyone who wants to implement an innovative idea can now contact the Social Startup Hub Bavaria.
